About the Event

During the course of dental examination or treatment, facing an unknown/incidental finding on a radiograph could be challenging and may delay or cease the ongoing treatment or even alter the treatment plan. Due to the limitations of the two-dimensional conventional radiographs, the nature of these incidental findings cannot be definitely determined. However, in many cases, the location, radiographic feature, and effects on surrounding structures can help to make a definitive diagnosis and hence eliminates the need to take unnecessary additional images such as CBCT.
